Who we are: We are a non profit rescue organization that services the Edmonton and surrounding areas Golden Rule Rescue Service was founded in January of 2012. I found my self stuck in a ditch one night during a snow storm south of Edmonton and someone had stopped to help pull me out and didn't even ask for any money! I was so blown away at that act that after that night I have dedicated my spare time in the winter to doing the same. From that Golden Rule Rescue was born. We are made up of a group of volunteers who work together to rescue vehicles from all sorts of situations from roll overs to running out of gas. Big or small we are prepared. We have the right equipment for any situation. We also are well trained medically. Most of us are first-aiders however some of us are also EMR's EMT's and off duty first responders. Normally there is no charge for our services however we do accept donations. 20% of all donations will go toward our operating costs and the other 80% to the Edmonton Food Bank, to provide less fortunate families with food during difficult times. We do usually work on call 24/7. The only catch with this organization is we are strictly volunteers. We are not a tow company. That being said we will do our best to help in every way possible but due to the small group that we have, our resources are limited. But call any time and we will do our best! We exist to help people. We are not doing this to make money. Every weekend or during a snowfall we will be on either highway 2 north and south to Red deer or on highway 16 east and west of Edmonton. Just patrolling so weather we get calls or not we are out and ready! Questions? Please don't hesitate to call!! 1(250) 808-6949
